Elm City Kallah: A Weekend of Jewish Learning, April 24-26
We're excited to be participating in this year’s Elm City Kallah and are looking forward to hosting Rabbi Shai Held, a well-known, award-winning and provocative speaker at our Synagogue on Friday April 24th.
6:30pm Mincha/Kabbalat Shabbat
7:30pm Shabbat Dinner (rsvp required)*
8:30pm Speaker, followed by dessert.
Is Judaism Really About Love? And What Is Love, Anyway? Although people often assume that Christianity is about love and Judaism is about… something else like law, or justice, or ritual, Held posits that this argument is misguided and damaging to Jews and Judaism. Come prepared to have your understanding of Judaism deepened and transformed.
Questions can be addressed to Barbara at BarbZal918@aol.com or 203-589-1100, or the shul office at 203-389-9513.
Deadline for registration is April 18th! RSVP required. To pay for this event you can either mail a check to the shul or pay via credit card using the Credit Card form on this page. Subsidized cost is $35 per person.
