Summer Sounds Concert with the IDF Ensemble
The IDF musical ensemble delivers an evening of popular and traditional Israeli songs. Each ensemble is composed of active duty soldiers who are highly talented singers and musicians, gifted with great skill, charisma, and stage presence. Many of the most celebrated Israeli singers and musicians are alumni of these IDF musical ensembles. Enjoy a summer concert and meet IDF Combat soldier Lieutenant Dana and hear her remarkable story of survival. Family Drive-in Movie: An American Tail
The JCC of Greater New Haven is excited to present a special Beckerman Film Series family drive-in movie night featuring Don Bluth and Stephen Spielberg's 1986 animated classic, An American Tail, about a family of (ostensibly) Russian Jewish mice, the Mousekewitzes, who immigrate to New York after their home is destroyed by a pogrom of Cossack cats. Admission begins at 7 PM, film starts at sunset (approx. 7:50 PM). Popcorn and beverages will be served, but feel free to bring your own snacks too! Family Fun Day at the J: Lazy Days of Summer
Join your friends and family for one last outdoor picnic at the JCC before the school year begins. Kosher hot dogs and snacks will be provided. Enjoy lawn games, crafts in MakerSpace, and the playground as well as the indoor climbing wall (11:30-1:00) and swimming pool (11:30-1:00). Kosher hot dogs and snacks will be available. Murray Lender 5K Bagel Run
Join us for the Ninth Annual Murray Lender 5K Bagel Run sponsored by Titan Energy. Run our 5K race, walk our 2-Mile Family Fit Walk, or inspire your children to participate in the Kids Fun Run, this event offers a memorable challenge for everyone. Free babysitting services during all races will be offered.
Our USATF Certified Course starts on the JCC Campus and winds up through the JCC Day Campus and into a beautiful residential Woodbridge neighborhood. Groups are encouraged to participate in all three events. Free race event t-shirts are provided to pre-registered participants of both the 5K and Family Fitness Walk. Awards for the top three men and women overall and in each age group will be given.
Enjoy our post-race block party featuring live music, bagels and cream cheese from Katz's Deli, delicious goodies handmade by our own JCC members and staff and special guest Pygmy goats. Free pre-and post-run massages and trainer-assisted stretching will be available.
