Shul Announcements

The Westville Calendar is more than just a traditional list of days of the year—it is a blend of listings of holidays—Jewish as well as secular,—candle-lighting times, dates special to our congregants, greetings from advertisers, and photos taken at synagogue events throughout the year. This attractive and useful tool, which also serves as a fund-raiser for the shul, is available for purchase for $25 apiece.

Preparations have begun for the 2018-2019 (5779) edition. Those who placed listings in last year’s calendar will soon receive notices inviting them to resubmit those listings with any additions or corrections. Others who would like to be included should please send in names of those whose birthdays, anniversaries or yahrzeits you wish to commemorate.  Listings are $1 apiece; just fill out the attached form and return it to the synagogue by July 8th. Calendars can be ordered for $25 apiece. You will be notified in August when the calendars are available; if you wish to have it mailed to you please include $2 toward mailing costs.

We are also looking for advertisers; please contact Barbara Zalesch (203-387-9666) for information about ad costs. Each ad is displayed throughout the year, making it a prominent feature in every home!
