Community Events

Sunday, December 24th

Westville will be joining forces with BEKI and B'nai Jacob once again to provide Christmas Eve dinner to about 150 people in need on Sunday afternoon, December 24, 2017. Chapel on the Green is an ongoing project of Trinity Church in downtown New Haven.  Every single Sunday (in any weather), following a short service, a full meal is provided on the Green behind the church. Many churches and synagogues help out by providing food and volunteers all through the year.

Items comprising a full festive menu (including, among other things, 8 roasted and carved turkeys) will be prepared in advance at the homes of volunteers (kosher or non-kosher accepted).  All food will be brought to the BEKI parking lot and loaded for transporting from there to the church.  From three synagogues we’ll need about 20 volunteers on-site that afternoon. YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!
